Bandai Namco brings interactive gaming event as it taps Chinese market
The real-time scene of Namco's classic arcade game Pac-Man is projected onto the whole facade of the bell tower building at Raffles City Changning.
Bandai Namco Holdings China Co Ltd has launched an 11-day fun interactive projection gaming event in Changning District as the Japanese video game development giant steps up taping the China market and takes an innovative approach to enrich game lovers' entertainment experiences.
At the lawn in front of the bell tower of Raffles City Changning, a shopping complex in the district, game fans operate huge joysticks and the real-time scene of Namco's classic arcade game Pac-Man based on their operation is projected onto the whole facade of the bell tower building.
All visitors are welcomed to participate in the free gaming event and it is staged between 7:30pm and 9:30pm every night through May 7.
It may cancel depending on weather conditions.
The event attracted many game lovers on Friday night.
"Pac-Man is one of my favorite games and the event evokes my sweet childhood memory," said Zhang Meng, a woman in her 30s.
Bandai Namco Holdings China Co Ltd has established four subsidiaries centering on areas such as toy, interactive entertainment and IP management since its entering in the China market in late 2017.
